Medical and Engineering aspirants preparing for NEET and JEE Mains examination will now be able to appear twice from 2019. Only the best score out of the two examinations will be taken into consideration.
Bringing in major reforms in the education sector, the announcements were made in Delhi by Union Human and Resource Minister, Prakash Javadekar. The new changes are described as more ‘student-friendly’ as it now gives options to the aspirants on how they want to appear for these examinations.
National Test Agency (NTA) will be conducting JEE Main and NEET examinations in the country from 2019.
Earlier, the Central Board of Second Education (CBSE) conducted these examinations.
NTA will also be conducting CMAT and UGC-NET examinations across the country. Tests will be conducted for 4 to 5 days, twice a year. The new system will allow aspirants to choose the date of examinations.
JEE Advance will be still conducted by the IIT.
There are no changes in the syllabus. The difficulty of the paper will remain the same.
