The Quint caught up with Pappu Yadav in Madhepura in Bihar and spoke to him about PM Modi, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar & his election. On being asked to define Rahul Gandhi in one phrase, Yadav said "fearless and clear at heart" but said he doesn't "know" about Tejashwi Yadav and that the RJD leader "doesn't mean anything."
Commenting on Nitish Kumar, he said that the Bihar CM has lost all credibility and that former CM Lalu Yadav "talks a lot" but he has not made changes with time.
Pappu Yadav is the Jan Adhikar Party president and is the candidate from Madhepura in Bihar. In the constituency, a triangular contest is shaping up with sitting MP Pappu Yadav facing competition from JDU and Sharad Yadav.
Looking back on his time as an MP, Yadav said, "For five years, I worked as a servant and a labourer. I have no caste." On Gathbandhan and whether he could potentially be a part of the alliance, Yadav said that "They have created an atmosphere against me. I didn't want to be a part of the Gathbandhan."
