If you’ve ever wondered why you aren’t getting more right swipes on Tinder, well, maybe it’s that you’re living in the wrong area.

According to a new study by the dating app, it was found that certain areas in a particular city get more right swipes than others.

Tinder analysed data from seven major Indian cities to find out where users were getting the most right swipes. The study was conducted throughout August-September 2018.

The study is based on how different neighbourhoods within a city fared on Tinder’s right swipe meter and which were the areas which got the most right swipes. Here’s a look at the illustrious list of the most right-swiped.

Starting with Mumbai, where Andheri West gets the most right swipes, followed by Bandra and Worli. Not much love in Malabar Hill as that area gets the least action.

Delhi NCR has a huge population of smartphone users, hence it’s easy to predict that there are plenty of dating app users as well.

South Delhi is the hottest area in terms of right swipes as leading the chart is Saket with Cyber City at fourth position. As you move towards the eastern part of the city, there is a considerable drop in the right swipes. Take Noida Sector 62 for example, 9th on the list.

Pune’s Koregaon Park receives the most right swipes. So, it’s advisable for right swipe hunters in Kothrud and Baner to make a move towards the eastern part of the state. Better chances of getting a match.

Next in line is Hyderabad, where Banjara Hills rules the roost in terms of right swipes. Madhapur is also doing fairly well.

Cities like Nungambakkam and Alwarpet in Chennai are breeding grounds for Tinder matches, as they get the most right swipes. Can’t say the same for areas like Royapuram, which languish at the bottom.

Central Kolkata seems to be the hub of Tinder users as Ballygunge gets bombarded with right swipes.

The methodology of calculation consists of the rate of right swipes received, which is reached by dividing the number of right swipes received by the total number of overall swipes in each area throughout August-September 2018.
