It’s steadily becoming a common occurrence as Facebook’s photo sharing app Instagram went down yet again in certain parts of the world with people not being able to refresh their feed or view likes on their pages.
The website version of the application was also acting up as heading to any page displayed an error reading: "5xx Server Error".
According to the website downdetector.in, countries like the US, Australia and the European Union seems have been affected the most while certain parts of India and Malaysia too have been affected.
The mobile application too wasn’t responding as users were not able to refresh the feed, and missed out on many notifications.
The issue seems to be technical fault and has nothing to do with the recent Facebook data breach debacle which had many users log into their Facebook accounts to access subsidiary apps — like Instagram in this case.
Following this issue, many Instagram users ‘found time’ to try out other social media applications like Twitter and they made sure they brought their quirk quotient along.
It’s no surprise that many people go crazy whenever Instagram goes down since more than a billion people use it every month. Last time the app went down was in July this year.
