Good news for mobile gaming enthusiasts in India. Call of Duty in its mobile avatar for Android and iOS will be available to beta users this week. This has been mentioned by 9to5Google in its report on Friday, which means PUBG Mobile will finally get a strong competition in its segment.
Though the game has been created by Activision and Tencent, in India it will be distributed under the umbrella of Unity, since it uses Unity's engine.
The game is based on the first-person shooter platform and is very similar to the console version of the game. For the mobile version, the developers are looking to offer 60fps performance, low latency and responsive controls.
Post launch, it will be in direct competition with PUBG Mobile, an online multiplayer game, which has become a rage in India.
In terms of the gameplay, Call of Duty: Mobile is expected to offer multiplayer game modes like Search and Destroy, Team Deathmatch, Free-For-All and even a Zombie Mode.
Activision, quoted in the report talked about what to expect with the game settings and load out options. The signature weapons from previous titles within the Call of Duty series including the Black Ops and Modern Warfare games are likely to make their way to the mobile version as well. Users will also be able to tweak their own load out to suit the play style.
That's not all, Activision has mentioned that the ability to fully customize your own in-character will roll out with the Call of Duty Mobile beta itself.
It has been previously stated that the developers are looking to optimise the game for high-end phones. However, work will continue to make the game compatible across all kinds of devices, which will be pivotal for the success of the game, especially in a country like India.
