A lot of countries around the world have considered banning the multiplayer mobile game PUBG and even in India there were some districts that had banned the game for a few days.

Some days ago, China decided to drop the axe on the South Korean game and then released a Chinese version of the game which was ‘less violent’ called “Game of Peace”.

As a shock to many, Game of Peace has garnered a revenue of almost $14 million in its first three days.

The game is based on the PUBG platform with similar gameplay although it has an anti-terrorism-theme to it. The Chinese government granted the monetisation approval of the game in April. This turned out to be a hammer blow for PUBG as it was scrapped by Tencent Games in China right after.

As per the reports by US app analytics firm Sensor Tower, China's App store users splurged over $14 million on the new Game for Peace via in-app purchases.

According to analysts at China Renaissance, “With PUBG Mobile having around 70 million average daily active users in China now, we expect Game for Peace could potentially generate 8 billion yuan to 10 billion yuan ($1.18 billion to $1.48 billion) in annual revenue.”

Tencent has detailed Game of Peace as a tactical shooting game that has been developed in-house and “pays tribute to the blue sky warriors that guard our country’s airspace”, in reference to the Chinese force.
