A tweet, supported by pictures, claims that weapons were found in a mosque in Gujarat.

The viral tweet said: "Weapons are found from a mosque in Gujarat. @narendramodi ji is giving scholarship to them & they are buying weapons for riots."

It carried three images which showed multiple knives and swords and a speculative picture of the accused.

The tweet, which was removed later, had over 400 retweets and over 500 likes.

On searching further with the key words from the result, reports from The Times of India and Desh Gujarat confirmed the news.

According to the report, the Rajkot detection of crime branch and Kuvadava Road police busted a racket of illegal weapons on the Rajkot-Ahmedabad highway and five were held for the same.

GujaratHeadline had also tweeted the news with same pictures in 2016.

FAKE NEWS RESURFACES

Similar claims were made in the year 2016, to which the pictures date back.
