Teacher Hit, Paraded Naked in Andhra for Raping Minor for 2 Years

The accused Rambabu was thrashed, stripped and paraded towards a police station by the family of the rape survivor.

A school teacher in Andhra Pradesh was thrashed, stripped naked and paraded towards a police station after he was found to have allegedly raped a minor for two years, NDTV reported. The incident was captured by residents of Eluru town in the West Godavari district.

The man identified as Rambabu, who taught English in a school, was assaulted by the family of a class 10 student of the same school after they learned of her pregnancy. The family alleged that the 38-year-old had been raping the minor for two years, NDTV reported.

The family discovered the girl’s pregnancy after she started bleeding heavily. She told her family about the rape, following which the family took matters into their own hands.

‘We Could Not Spare Him’

Speaking to NDTV, one of the two men who held Rambabu whilst parading him towards the police station said,

He is a teacher and lured a class 10 student with the promise of marks and raped her. He got her pregnant. She almost died of bleeding. We shifted her to hospital. Once we found out, we could not spare him.

The police said that a case against him has been registered.

Rambabu told NDTV that he was mercilessly beaten up by roughly 15 people. However, no case has been registered against them so far.
