4 Noida MBBS Students Killed in Car Accident, 1 Critically Injured

The students were returning to Sharda university after a holiday in Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamshala.

Four MBBS students from Sharda University in Greater Noida died after their car lost control and rammed into a stationary truck on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway near the Baghpat-Ghaziabad border on Tuesday, 21 May. Another student travelling with the group is critically injured, The Indian Express reported.

The students were returning to their university after a holiday in Himachal Pradesh's Dharamshala.

According to a report by The Indian Express, police said that the injured student, Aanchal Rana from Moradabad, was taken to a local hospital in Baghpat from where she was referred to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital in New Delhi.

“The impact of the collision was such that the car was mangled and bodies had to be pulled out with the help of a crane and local residents. The families of the dead have been informed.”

The police identified the deceased as Kant Dhingra and Karishma Dhingra from Ludhiana, Abhishek Soni from Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan and Mohammed Shoaib from UP’s Rampur.
