The Delhi High Court on Monday, 11 June, allowed suspended Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kapil Mishra to file a petition against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over his low attendance in the Assembly.
Mishra claimed Kejriwal had less than 10 percent attendance, PTI reported. The court is likely to hear the petition on Tuesday, 12 June.
In an interview to ANI, Mishra alleged the CM was present for just two hours but “totally missed special sessions for full statehood and sealing.”
“The Delhi High Court should give a direction to the CM that he should be attending the Delhi Assembly session. It should also give direction to Lieutenant Governor and Speaker of the Assembly to ensure that the CM is attending the session,” ANI quoted Mishra as saying.
When the matter was mentioned before a vacation bench comprising Justices Sangita Dhingra Sehgal and C Hari Shankar, it asked the lawyer for Mishra to file the petition.
