Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday night indicated that he would answer the graft allegations levelled against him by Kapil Mishra on Tuesday. Mishra was suspended from the Aam Aadmi Party.
His tweet came as Mishra, who was sacked by Kejriwal from his Cabinet last Saturday, intensified his attack on the AAP supremo, alleging that a Rs 50 crore deal had been arranged for the chief minister's brother-in-law.
He said he has sought an appointment with the CBI on 8 May to register a complaint.
Capping the day of dramatic developments, the AAP's high-powered Political Affairs Committee (PAC) chaired by Kejriwal suspended Mishra from the party's primary membership.
Both Jain and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia hit back at Mishra, saying he had "lost his mental balance" and is levelling "baseless allegations".
Reacting to the political crisis engulfing the AAP, Congress’ Vice President Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to make his thought known.
In a Facebook post, his brother-in-law Robert Vadra who has earlier been at the end of sharp attacks by the AAP also took a dig at the Delhi CM.

Reports also suggest that Jain will file a defamation suit against the Kapil Mishra for his ‘baseless allegations’.
Raising fresh graft allegations, Kapil Mishra alleged that Delhi Cabinet Minister Satyendar Jain helped the brother-in-law of Delhi CM with a 7-acre farmhouse deal worth 50 cr.
Mishra added that he will submit proof to back his allegations and register a formal complaint with the CBI in the matter at 11:30 am on Tuesday.
In a tweet he also raised questions over the AAP party leaders giving clean chits to each other over the graft allegations.
Speaking to the media on Monday, sacked water minister of Delhi Kapil Mishra insisted that linking his name with the BJP is unfair as he has remained a vocal critic of the BJP and PM Narendra Modi throughout his political career. He also ruled out any possibility of joining the BJP in the future.
He further added that he is not afraid of the threats by fellow APP leaders and will continue his crusade against the corruption in the party.
Hitting out at Kapil Mishra over his allegations of corruption against Kejriwal, AAP leader Sanjay Singh said the AAP legislator had himself written to a letter to the ACB in September last year, saying that under pressure, the anti-graft body was trying to implicate the chief minister in the water tanker scam.
"A game of exploitation is being played against the AAP. The BJP is hatching a conspiracy against the AAP through Mishra," Singh told reporters.
Mishra on Monday shared all the evidences regarding water tanker scam case with the ACB.
"I have shared all the relevant documents, evidences with the ACB officials and now I am going to meet CBI officials," Mishra told reporters outside ACB office. He also said that he is ready for a lie-detector test and thorough investigation should be done in the case.
Sacked AAP Minister Kapil Mishra addressed the media on Monday morning and said that he was heading to the Anti-Corruption Bureau to give detailed evidence on the tanker scandal.
“I have asked for some time from CBI to prove my allegations. I want that Arvind Kejriwal, Satendra Jain and I should undergo a lie-detector test,” Mishra said.
Kapli Mishra said that he will submit “all evidence” against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and his two close aides with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday.
Addressing his second press conference for the day, Mishra said that he will be at the ACB office at 11 am on 8 May. He however did not share details of the said evidence.
Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari requested Lt Governor Anil Baijal to examine possibility of "immediately dismissing" Kejriwal and minister Satyendar Jain over graft allegations against them by their sacked colleague Kapil Mishra.
Tiwari, who met Baijal, requested him to forward the matter for probe into the allegations of corruption and money laundering to concerned agencies like CBI, Income Tax department, Enforcement Directorate.
He said though his party has demanded resignation of Kejriwal and Jain "but we feel they are unlikely to resign".
Kapil Mishra Vows to End Corruption Within the Party
Mishra further insisted he won't quit the Aam Aadmi Party. "I will neither quit the party nor anyone can ask me to go."
Kumar Vishwas and other AAP leaders came out in support of the Delhi CM stating that a corrupt Kejriwal would be an unimaginable thing for them.
AAP MLAs Alka Lamba and Somnath Bharti have also come out in support of Kejriwal.

Congress leader Ajay Maken on Sunday demanded Arvind Kejriwal's resignation.
Addressing a press conference, Maken said that the party will collect 10 lakh signatures against the Kejriwal government in the next four to five days in order to remind him of the 'right to recall'.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that Mishra’s allegations are not even worth responding to, as they are so absurd and without any facts.
Hours after Delhi's Water Minister Kapil Mishra was sacked from his ministerial post, a fresh crisis arose in the AAP as founder member Kumar Vishwas vowed for "another movement inside and outside".
"I want to assure the workers and people of the country that we will keep on raising our voice against corruption inside and outside, whatever be the consequences. Bharat Mata Ki Jai," Kumar Vishwas tweeted.
The Aam Aadmi Party leader in another tweet said: "Let there be another movement. We will not wear out. Haven't tasted a drop of power until now, which is why the zeal from Jantar Mantar struggle still remains alive. Friends be assured."
Kejriwal dropped Mishra from his Cabinet on Saturday. Mishra is a close aide of AAP leader Kumar Vishwas, who had recently threatened to quit the party. Mishra had extended support to Vishwas when the latter clashed with the party leadership – a move that reports claim may have cost him his portfolio.
