After Zero, Shah Rukh Khan has not signed any film as of now. Amidst the numerous speculations, one report that has been doing the rounds is that he might soon appear in a Tamil film. The movie in question is a masala entertainer to be directed by Atlee.
Now, entertainment industry tracker Ramesh Bala has taken to Twitter to say that the film will be titled Sanki. He also added that the announcement will be made on SRK’s birthday, 2 November.
At an event held to promote Atlee’s Diwali release, Bigil, fellow director Harish Shankar hinted at a possible collaboration between SRK and Atlee.
“The news is coming out. I don’t know how immediately it’s going to happen but I am praying to all the gods to make it happen that Atlee sir is going to direct King Khan (aka) SRK. Being a huge fan of SRK, I am waiting for this combo so that I can also come for that function and see SRK. I am a huge fan of King Khan (sic),” Shankar said.
Atlee also smiled and consented in response. Earlier, Shah Rukh had flown down to Chennai and met Tamil filmmaker Atlee. During the meeting, Atlee narrated a script to SRK, which the latter loved and agreed to be a part of. After joining hands, the two left for the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai to watch the ongoing IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
Shah Rukh Khan had even tweeted a selfie while departing from the Chennai airport.
Director Atlee is known for many blockbusters like Mersal, Theri, and Raja Rani.
