As the official story goes, when Kangana Ranaut took over the reigns for her ambitious film Manikarnika to complete it, the actor turned director and re-shot several portions of the film. So much so, that she was given first credit for direction and Krish was given second.

Krish recently broke his silence on what transpired before the film’s release. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, he claimed that Kangana shot only 20-25 per cent of the first half and has added 4-5 shots in the climax. He disputed her getting first credit and was upset that he was named as ‘Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi’ instead of his preferred moniker ‘Krish’.

Now actor/director Pooja Bhatt, director Bejoy Nambiar and screenwriter Apurva Asrani have reacted to the interview and come out in support of Krish.

“This is so wrong... on every level... this is not the industry I was born to and not the industry I wish to inherit. Eventually it is credit we work for... money comes & money goes... the first rule of filmmaking is to acknowledge people’s contribution.” wrote Pooja as she shared the video.

David director Bejoy Nambiar agreed with Pooja, as he added, “This is just heartbreaking to watch ! No one should have to go through something like this. After #Simran & @Apurvasrani ‘s episode this is the 2nd time someone is calling her out. EARN your credit & GIVE credit where it’s due #KanganaRanaut

Meanwhile writer and editor Apurva Asrani, who had a falling out with director Hansal Mehta over the Kangana-starrer Simran, claimed that she was the cause of distress on that film as well. In multiple tweets, Apurva says Kangana “hijacked” Simran and had him locked out of the film.
