PM Modi Casts His Vote In Ahmedabad

Earlier in the day, Modi met Heeraben before he cast his vote in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections at a booth in the Ranip area of Ahmedabad.

According to PTI, his mother gave him a shawl, a coconut and sweets.

Modi was welcomed by BJP president Amit Shah, who is contesting the Lok Sabha election from the Gandhinagar seat, and was taken to the polling booth thereafter.

“I feel blessed to have exercised my franchise in this biggest festival of democracy. The power of the voter ID is much more than IED ((improvised Explosive Device) of terrorism,” said PM Modi, and urged people to come out in large numbers to participate in the polling.

Jashodaben Cast Her Ballot in Unjha

Modi’s wife Jashodaben, too, cast her vote at a polling booth in Gujarat’s Unjha on Tuesday.

“Modi sahab has done a lot for the country, and he will do more,” ANI quoted her as saying minutes after she stepped out of the polling booth.
