Haryanvi singer and dancer Sapna Chaudhary is accompanying BJP MP Manoj Tiwari to the District Magistrate's office in Nand Nagri to file his nomination for the Delhi Lok Sabha polls on Monday, 22 April.

Tiwari is contesting the polls from the North East Delhi seat, where he will be facing off with Congress’ Sheila Dikshit.

At the roadshow held by the BJP MP, dismissing speculation about her joining BJP, Chaudhary told ANI, “I have not joined the party (BJP), I'm here because Manoj Tiwari ji is a good friend of mine.”

Union Minister Vijay Goel is also present at Tiwari’s roadshow.

Delhi BJP-in-charge Pratyush Kanth had earlier taken to Twitter to share photos of Tiwari finishing the paperwork with regard to his nomination on Monday morning. He added that the MP would then be leaving for a roadshow leading to the District Magistrate's office in Nand Nagri, where he would file his nomination.

Kanth also shared a photo of Tiwari in the roadshow on his way to the DM's office, accompanied by BJP workers as well as Chaudhary.

Several BJP members shared a photo of Chaudhary and Tiwari together, seemingly taken before going to file the latter's nomination. Neelkant Bakshi, Head of Media Relations and Co-incharge of BJP's IT cell, tweeted the photo, with the caption: "Tiwariji leaving for nomination from his residence with Sapna CHOUDHRY".

Ravinder Gupta, general secretary of BJP Delhi, also tweeted the same photo.

Chaudhary had earlier denied joining the Congress after reports flooded in saying that she had been inducted into the party. Reports said that she had met Tiwari and despite not joining BJP, had agreed to campaign for the party.
