Akhilesh Revokes Suspensions Ordered by Shivpal

UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has reinstated four district chiefs of Samajwadi party who were sacked by his uncle Shivpal Yadav.

Akhilesh has called a meeting of party MLAs at 10 am on Thursday to discuss upcoming assembly polls.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, senior Samajwadi Party leader, Azam Khan said Mulayam Singh Yadav is positive about the situation and has communicated to him that he is looking for a solution to the issue at hand.

Speaking at Uttar Pradesh Pravasi Divas 2017 in Lucknow, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that they’ve done all the work with Mulayam Singh’s blessings till now and will continue to do so.

We’re contesting for the elections and will return to power... Netaji gave us a chance in this democracy, and we’ve done all this work with his blessings.

Saying that no one can tear the father-son duo apart, he added:

After switching on the laptops we distributed, a picture of me and Netaji appears and even if someone tries they can’t remove it.

Mulayam Singh Yadav and son Akhilesh Yadav have reportedly reached common ground following a two-hour-long meeting, NDTV reported.

Mulayam, who was replaced as the Samajwadi Party chief on Sunday by Akhilesh, will assume the position again.

In turn, Akhilesh will take a call on the party’s candidates. Shivpal Yadav, who was ousted from the party by Akhilesh, will be given an integral national role in the party, it reported.

There Won’t Be Any Compromise in SP: Ram Gopal Yadav

Amid talks of a possible truce between the two warring factions in the Samajwadi Party, Ram Gopal Yadav said:

“There won’t be any compromise in the party. We will fight elections under Akhilesh as national president. About the election symbol, the decision will be taken by the EC.”
