Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz has submitted fake documents and misled the Supreme Court, the joint investigation team which probed the Panamagate graft case against her family has alleged.
So, what gave Maryam away? The world’s sweetest font, ‘Calibri’.
In its report, the JIT said Maryam is the real and ultimate beneficial owner of the Avenfield apartments in London but she never declared the ownership of these overseas properties. What was thought to be “original” documents of the property submitted by Maryam, turned out to be “fake and manipulated”.
The JIT sent the supposedly “original” deed that Sharif claimed to have signed in 2006 to the Radley Forensic Document Laboratory in London for examination. After the forensic examination, the laboratory’s expert Robert W Radley stated that he identified the type font used to produce both certified declaration as ‘Calibri’ which was not commercially available before 31st January 2007.
And in all of this Twitter will have the last laugh.
