Qatar is having a ‘you can’t sit with us’ moment, with the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Yemen declaring a diplomatic war on it on Monday.

Qatar’s support for the Muslim Brotherhood (considered a terror organisation by Saudi Arabia and UAE), its meddling in the internal affairs of the other Gulf nations and its support for the Iran agenda are the reasons they have cited for outcasting the country.

Twitterati seems to have had a field day, with many questioning Saudi Arabia’s hypocrisy in particular.

Ironically, Saudi Arabia had been termed the “biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world today” in a Huffington Post article in March. It goes on to say that some of the 61 groups named as terrorist organisations by the US State Department are “Saudi-funded”.
