Thousands of people took part in Mexico City’s annual Zombie Walk on Saturday. Caked in fake blood, wearing torn clothing and masks, participants walked and at times stumbled through the streets of downtown Mexico City.

The nearly one-mile walk ended at the Palacio de Bellas Artes cultural centre. The tradition of zombie walks started out in the United States, but has since spread to Europe and Latin American countries.
