Shah Rukh Khan’s first and only release in 2018 gathered a massive response when the teaser came out but since Zero hit theatres, there have been mixed reactions. While some loved Shah Rukh Khan’s new avatar on screen and applauded everyone’s acting, there were others who felt that the second half of the film was haphazard and confusing.

The Quint got actor MM Faruqui, aka ‘Lilliput’ to review Zero. Faruqui refused to give the movie any rating but said that it would have been better if the plot focused more on the protagonist being vertically challenged.

The movie (Zero) is larger than life but it hardly focuses on the challenges faced by vertically challenged people.

Lilliput is known for his roles in TV series in the 90s like Dekh Bhai Dekh and Woh. The actor talks about what a dwarf really looks like and says it’s nothing like Shah Rukh Khan in Zero. Dwarfism, he says, is a medical condition which could be genetic and in which limbs, fingers and legs are disproportionate. On the other hand, filmmaker Aanand L Rai said that the film celebrates the ‘incompleteness’ in people.
