The American elections are in a little over a week and we're calling the election. And the winner is... Hillary Clinton.
Okay, no. The election didn't happen while you were napping. It's still going to be on the 8th of November. And stay tuned to The Quint for all the coverage. But the polls, more or less, have a REALLY strong lead for Democratic candidate Clinton.
From mid-July till now, Donald Trump has taken the lead only once. Par aisa nahin hai that Clinton’s lead hasn’t dropped since then. It has and right now too the distance is closing.
But that’s not a win for the Donald. He's still going to need an actual LEAD to win this thing. And he's got just over a week.
The debates didn’t help because plenty of polls said that support for Clinton rose after every debate. It also didn't help that by the end of each 90-minute debate, Trump had once again resorted to interrupting Clinton and making non-arguments to explain his ‘bigly’ policies.
In the last week before the elections, Obama's second term campaign had an average 1.2 point lead, Jimmy Carter had a 1.3 lead, BOTH George Bush campaigns had a 2.9 and 1.6 point lead each. It’s the last week and Clinton has an average 5.3 lead.
So, yeah. Unless, something crazy and yuuuge happens, we're calling the US Presidential Elections in favour of Hillary Clinton.
