India and Pakistan may not be at war, but we Indians and Pakistanis have started warring. We are sending actors back home, banning films; they are asking for Harappan statues to be returned. The MNS in Maharashtra has made it a party line to impose a ban on Karan Johar’s upcoming Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. It has been a couple of weeks of unsolicited brouhaha. The Honest Karan Johar Confession video is a not-so-nuanced way of saying this:

Karan bhai, not cool. You should have held your resolve and not given into pressure. MNS wale aatey, teen din jhamela karte, chauthe din chale bhi jaatey. And why undermine the support of people and the film fraternity? No body abandoned you. And saying you won’t hire Pakistani actors anymore, extolling the virtues of the Indian army – basically the whole apology thing – really not cool.
