US Presidential Debate Takeaways: Clinton Gets Under Trump’s Skin

Donald Trump repeatedly clashed with Hillary Clinton during Monday’s first presidential debate, interrupting her and appearing agitated at times as they tangled over the economy, her use of a private mail server and his unwillingness to release his income tax returns. Clinton maintained an even demeanour, smiling indulgently when Trump turned aggressive.

Clinton and Trump engaged in a vigorous back-and-forth on the debate stage at Hofstra University as polls showed them locked in a tight race.

Release 6,000 Cusecs of Cauvery Water for 3 Days: SC to Karnataka

The Supreme Court ordered the Karnataka government to release 6,000 cusecs of water from Cauvery to Tamil Nadu for three days from Tuesday.

The next hearing is due on Thursday.

On Monday, the Karnataka government told the Supreme Court that it cannot provide the Cauvery river water to Tamil Nadu till the end of the year in response to the apex court’s order that directed them to release 6,000 cusecs of water everyday to Tamil Nadu.

Fawad Khan Returns to Pakistan From India After Protests

According to reports, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has secretly returned home from India after protests by groups like the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). It is believed that the actor left Mumbai amid threats by right-wing groups following the attack on Indian troops in Uri.
