After Indian wrestlet Sakshi Malik took Bronze and shuttler PV Sindhu won the semi-final at Rio Olympics, author and socialite Shobhaa De on Friday tweeted once again to control damage done by her infamous tweet that invited the wrath of twitterati.

Shobhaa De explained that her tweet wasn’t meant to disrespect the participating athletes and that being a former national level athlete, she understands their plight.

She also congratulated the trio of Dipa Karmakar, Sakshi Malik and PV Sindhu, calling them ‘Teen Deviyaan’
