This is the underwater world where the U-CAT robot is at home.
Gliding through a submerged building, it uses flippers instead of propellers, getting into tight spots too dangerous or difficult for humans.
U-CAT is an acronym for Underwater Curious Archaeology Turtle. It has been developed by a team of engineers at Estonia’s Tallinn University of Technology Centre for Biorobotics.
Inspired by the movement of sea turtles, the U-CAT is miles apart from other robots currently used in maritime exploration.
