Indian actor, producer, entrepreneur Soham Shah talks about his top 5 favourite films of all time. These movies have inspired him and shaped him as an actor. He claims that these are the movies which convinced him that he wants to take up films as a career.

His top 5 picks are:

5) Andaaz Apna Apna (1994)
Starring Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Karishma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon, this is a Hindi comedy film which was considered way ahead of its time.

4) Blue Jasmine (2013)
An American black comedy/drama directed by Woody Allen. Cate Blanchett won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the film.

3) Hum Aapke Hai Koun (1984)
One of Bollywood’s game changing films which focused on less violent stories and more family stories. The movie starring Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit had earned more than a billion rupees.

2) Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995)
Aditya Chopra’s directorial debut starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol was a love story between NRI kids Raj and Simran who fall in love the Indian way. Basically fighting all odds.

1) The Godfather (1972)
An all time classic, three part series. The Godfather starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino was based on the novel of the same name by Mario Puzo. It is considered one of the the greatest films ever made.

The actor/producer can be seen in his new film Tumbbad which has taken more than six years to make and which finally released on the 12th of October. Critics have said that the movie is a rare perfect Indian horror film, it ticks all the boxes and goes a step further by never letting go of its grip on the genre.

Sohum Shah has been a part of the National Award winning film Ship of Theseus also.
