The Empire State building was struck by lightning as a storm passed through New York City on Monday.

The clip uploaded by journalist Henrik Moltke shows the top of the New York landmark being struck, which he captured by balancing his phone next to a glass window. However, lightening striking the Empire State Building is not uncommon, as it happens almost 23 times a year, according to the building’s website.

The storm and torrential rain took down trees and power lines in the city on Monday.
