A Spanish-built train will reduce the travel time between Delhi and Mumbai to just 12 hours. The Talgo train, which has been successful on its last two trial runs, is on the third and final leg currently.
Claiming a high speed of 200 kmph, the company says it will reduce travel times by almost 4 hours. While such a speed might not be viable on Indian tracks, the safety of the train will be decided once the trials are done.
