How does it feel to keep coming back to the same film? And do you still feel as excited as you felt the first day?

Sonakshi Sinha: I absolutely do because this film is definitely the most special film of my career. I started off with it. So coming back to it always feels great, and honestly I don’t think any other heroine has retained a franchise for the third time. So that feels even better. It’s all things amazing I think ‘Dabangg’ for me.

All the films that you have done previously, like, Noor , Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi and Khandaani Shafakhana. I don’t even know what that means. They didn’t do very well in the box office. So how do you react to something like this? Do you think that the script didn’t work or it didn’t have that entertainment quotient that didn’t get people to the theatres? Does it bother you?

Sonakshi Sinha: Honestly, you can never tell why a film doesn’t do well, you know, because there’s so many amazing, beautiful films. I’ll give you my own example, Lootera, which didn’t do well at the box office at all. You’re saying what a film, right? So you never know what factors they are that, you know, make a film do well or not do well. For me, those films were all amazing experiences. For me, they were beautiful roles, which I really enjoyed playing. When the film released maybe they didn’t do well at the box office but my work was really appreciated, which is what I took away from the film and I’m very happy about that. Yeah, I think they’ve all been fantastic learning experiences for me.

Have you met Saiee before you started Dabangg?

Sonakshi Sinha: I did actually. I met her like a year, year and a half back at Galaxy, Salman’s house. And I don’t think at that point in time he had said that, you know, she’s doing the film or not. She’s a very sweet girl. And you know, it was so nice to see her then. So nice to see her now and what she’s blossomed into, you know, for this film.

If there are any tips that you have to give her what would that be?

Sonakshi Sinha: You know what, she actually just came here, we’re doing interviews... our first round of interviews today and she came in and she said, ‘Give me some tips’. I said, ‘You don’t need any tips. You can give me tips’. Because you know, she’s so smart. She’s so talented. And like, she’s so confident also, I don’t think I need to give her any tips at all.

One thing I think she would need tips is how to handle trolls. You are a pro. Okay, so when the whole troll thing was happening about KBC, answering that question. What was going on in your mind while answering that question? Did it come to your mind that now I will surely get trolled.

Sonakshi Sinha: If something has to come to my mind, the answer should have come, no? My mind went blank that’s why I couldn’t even get the right answer. It was one of those moments and it can happen to anyone really, there’s really no need for these jobless people to make such a big deal about it.

So if you had to give Saiee some tips how to deal with trolls. What would that be?

Sonakshi Sinha: There is a very interesting and amazing button which is called the ‘block’ button. Please use that when you are getting trolled by these ridiculous people to block them.
