Salman Khan recently held a press conference to unveil the 13th season of Bigg Boss, which is slated to premiere on 29 September at 9 pm. Salman spoke to The Quint about the new format of this season and about what he thinks about the show.

“After a lot of research the Colors team has decided that only celebrities will go in the house. I asked them for an answer, ‘Why only celebrities?’ They didn’t tell me. So, if you want to know the answer then you have to ask the Colors team only, because they don’t tell me anything.”
Salman Khan on commoners not going in the house.

How does this show affect you mentally and emotionally?

It doesn’t bother me at all. I watch it and then decide where I have to interfere and where I don’t have to. According to the contestants, I react. But my reaction is always to their actions. That’s all I do.

With the actions and reactions of the contestants, I’m sure you must be learning a lot as well.

1000 percent. I learn a lot from them. This is my age to learn.

Will you miss commoners in the house?

Personally I like them, I like every contestant. Their team has done some research. Whether it is right or wrong, that we will find out only after the show starts. They will only decide what is to be done because it’s their format. In the format, they can always bring a surprise or a twist to send anyone inside the house. It’s a dangerous format.
