A 25-year-old woman was reportedly attacked with acid in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district after she refused to withdraw an FIR against a man who had allegedly raped her in August this year.
The woman was reportedly violated by one Sujeet on August 9, following which she had registered an FIR with the local police. According to her, Sujeet had threatened her husband with dire consequences, while asking him to withdraw the case.
She now says that Sujeet, along with two other accomplices tied her hands and poured acid on her face and body in a bid to teach her a lesson.
While the woman has been admitted to a state hospital, local police say they are yet make any arrests in the case.
