Uttarakhand Cloudburst Leaves 30 Dead

Thirteen districts in Uttarakhand have been severely affected after a cloudburst triggered landslides and flooding early Friday morning. At least thirty people have been killed in the cloudburst that brought over 100 mm rain in two hours in a region of 50 sq km. Singhali, Patthakot, Ogla and Thal villages are the worst affected.

Movie Review: ‘Shorgul’ Has Weak Plot

Shorgul has been generating a lot of noise with the fatwa against actor Jimmy Shergill, and a lot of people calling for it to be banned. It is allegedly loosely based on the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots. While some of the performances are good, the badly written characters are hard to ignore.
