You know those super annoying yet catchy songs that you just can’t get out of your head for days? The insanely viral ‘Pen-Pinneaple-Apple-Pen’ is exactly that kind of song. And now it has a world record!

‘PPAP’ has more than 65 million YouTube views and is the first Japanese song to get into the US Billboard top 100 singles in 26 years. Guinness World Records recognised the 45-second song on Friday as the shortest one to make the top 100.

The 53-year-old Japanese comedian behind the viral hit, who’s popularly known as Pikotaro, is astonished by the global success of the song.

The Quint brings you desi versions to this amazing work of humour.
