The international World Naked Bike Ride took place in London on 10 June 2017 when city dwellers stripped their clothes off and went on a bike parade. These cyclists chose to go nude with the motto of the ride being ‘bare as you dare’.

People wore minimum clothes or even unclothed themselves to emphasise body freedom and self empowerment. The cyclists painted their bodies creatively with tattoos and body paints. The central idea of the parade was to protest against the city’s ‘car culture’ while highlighting the vulnerability of cyclists.

The city crowd was left baffled and excited witnessing the unusual nude parade. Spectators took to social media to express their awe.
