Green Land Public School in Punjab’s Pathankot boasts of a unique distinction– 17 pairs of identical twins. The presence of so many pairs of identical twins, aged between 3-15 years, enrolled in this school, has left many of the teachers perplexed.
Green Land School was started in 2013. Initially, 3 pairs of twins were admitted to the institution. In five years, the number increased to 17. Dr. Jyoti Thakur, the principal of the school, said that out of the admitted pairs of twins, 8 are of sister, 6 are of brother and the remaining of brothers and sisters.
Though there are no special policies in place, the school has become the go-to educational centre for the twins of the town. But this leaves many of the teachers baffled about their students. They find it difficult to differentiate between the students, leading to confusion.
