Prime Minister Narendra Modi, attending the Amdavad Shopping Festival in Ahemadabad, on Thursday, 17 January, bought a Khadi jacket from a Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) stall.
In a video released by news agency ANI, the PM can be seen interacting with three of the shopkeepers before making the purchase, using his RuPay card. The PM then shakes the hand of a shopkeeper, is handed over a paper bag with newly purchased jacket and turns around and leaves.
PM Modi is in Ahmedabad for the ninth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. The Amdavad Shopping Festival 2019, is being organised simultaneously with the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, reported TOI.
The festival is providing a platform to around 65 KVIC stalls from all over India to come forth and showcase their products.
