The great Romantic poets of the 18th century felt so ardently about the sensuous beauty of nature that poetry flew spontaneously from them. A young poet, John Keats, too full of admiration for nature once wrote, ‘A thing of beauty is a joy forever’.
Winter may be uncomfortable and harsh, but despite that, nature’s beauty is beyond imagination. A simple phenomena of nature, like freezing, can give the world a sight worth cherishing.
The partly frozen Niagara Falls mesmerised visitors who braved the harsh cold to visit the winter wonderland. Not a typical tourist season, many people visited the falls to enjoy the peace and calm of the season.
Temperatures dropped as low as -20 degrees Celsius in Canada and the northern United States, in a footage captured on Sunday. Tourists came from all over the world to see the falls and enjoy the spectacular view.
‘I've never been here during the winter. I have to show it to a few of my friends visiting me. It's a sight to see,’ said one of them, named Anthony Federico.
I came here because I heard it was really beautiful. I also thought it might be a little bit frozen. I really enjoyed the experience so far.Conor Hannan, Tourist
