1. Ram Rahim Rape Case: At Least 11 Reported Dead in Panchkula

At least 11 people are reportedly dead in the violence that has followed the conviction of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan by the CBI court in Panchkula for raping two women.

Police has used tear gas to handle the growing mobs in Panchkula. Media vehicles were vandalised by Dera supporters, some OB vans were set ablaze. Curfew has been imposed in Bathinda, Sangrur, Patiala.

2. New Rs 50 and Rs 200 Notes Released by RBI

People queued up outside RBI on Friday in New Delhi for the new Rs 200 and Rs 50 notes. Some were excited about the new currency, others were left unimpressed with the "chooran waale note". Check out what they had to say.
