The Lodha panel finally had it their way when the Supreme Court dismissed Anurag Thakur as BCCI President and Ajay Shirke as BCCI Secretary on Monday for not implementing the Lodha Committee recommendations.
The Supreme Court had ordered the Indian cricket board to implement the reforms given by the Lodha panel on 18 July.
Justice RM Lodha said that the Supreme Court’s order is a victory for the game of cricket, expressing certainty that the game will now flourish.
Former Indian cricket captain Bishan Singh Bedi said that he felt a little ashamed to say that the decision made him happy.
