Following an alleged question paper leak, the CBSE on Wednesday, announced a reconnect of the Class 10 Mathematics and Class 12 Economics examinations. As expected, the news has drawn the ire of students from across the country, who will now have to re-appear for the exams.

Speaking to The Quint, Varnika Khiladiwal, a class 10 student, says that despite having done well in the exams, she will now have to re-appear.

“I am so upset with this announcement”, she said.

Several students have been resisting the CBSE’s announcement, asking why they must be blamed for the some miscreants’ fault.

“Why should we take a re-test? We wrote this 3-hour exam on our own, and prepared so hard. We will not give a retest,” says Aishvik Pachlangia, a class 12 student.

Stundents also took to social media to share their displeasure with the CBSE’s announcement. In fact, several allege they found out of the leak through social media after they had given their examinations.

Meanwhile, the CBSE has urged the students to keep calm, while assuring that the culprits will be nabbed and punished.
