An injured skier was rescued by a local helicopter rescue team from the Kothi peak of the Rohtang region at an altitude of 14,000 feet above sea level. Four people went skiing in the Rohtang region in Manali on Friday, and one of the skiers got injured. The rescue team airlifted the injured skier within 30 minutes.

The helicopter rescue team member said that it was tough to find the location, and it is important that before leaving to such locations, one should inform the administration and any rescue teams available here.

“We got the information that these people were in Kothi ridge; this ridge is a big area. There is no helipad available. We were able to search and spot the skier. We had an expert pilot with special team members and paramedics, and were able to rescue the injured,” Sandeep Singh, rescue team member.
