1. Dera Search Op Live: ‘Skeletons’, Cash Found Inside Premises
As security agencies and state government authorities launched a search operation at the Dera Sacha Sauda headquarters in Sirsa on Friday, the sect’s mouthpiece, Sach Kahoon, admitted that human remains were buried inside the premises, a day before the search operation.
Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in jail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on 25 August for raping two women. He is currently lodged in Sunaria prison in Rohtak district. For more updates on the story, stay tuned to The Quint.
2. Eat Beef in Your Country Before Coming to India: Tourism Minister
The Union Minister for Tourism KJ Alphons seems a little confused about his stance on the beef ban in Kerala. After saying that the BJP has no problems with beef in the state on Monday, the minister made a contradictory remark on Friday, saying that foreign nationals should eat beef before they visit India.
When asked by a reporter about his previous contradictory comments, Alphons simply wrote them off as a "cock and bull story".
3. Angry Parents Protest Against Death of 7-Year-Old in Gurugram School
The body of a seven-year-old student was recovered in a pool of blood from Ryan International School in Gurugram on 8 September. The boy, a class 2 student, was found in the washroom of the school.
The victim’s father said that within 15 minutes of dropping his son to the school, he was called back on an emergency. By the time Thakur reached the hospital, his son had been declared brought dead. According to Thakur, his son’s throat was slit across twice.
