Senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Monday visited Rajasthan’s Nindar village, where over 50 farmers have buried themselves neck-deep in soil to protest land acquisition by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA).
After interacting with farmers at the village - around 20 kilometers from Jaipur - Pilot launched a scathing attack on the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP government.

The JDA plans to acquire around 540 acres of land for an upcoming development project in which 10,000 houses will be built. Farmers say their only source of livelihood is on the verge of being snatched away and have demanded a fresh land survey.
