As US President Donald Trump embarks on his first overseas trip, his speech on terrorism in Riyadh seems moderate in tone. Most striking is how his pet phrase 'radical Islamic terrorism' has gone missing even in his address on combating terrorism.

The recurrent utterance of the phrase 'radical Islamic terrorism', the ‘Muslim ban’ proposals and his condemnable speeches generalising the entire Muslim community had already created a rather coarse impression about President Trump.

However, his newly observed mild attitude towards the Muslim community in his speeches abroad has stunned all. The reference to ISIS and the non-terrorist organisations as 'Islamic extremists' shows Trump is choosing his words carefully as he tours the Middle East, a Muslim majority region of the world.
