Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel issued a joint statement in Berlin on Tuesday. The two nations inked 12 major agreements in fields such as urban development and cyber policies.
Modi was in Germany on the first leg of his six-day, four-nation tour of Germany, Spain, Russia, and France. The tour is aimed at boosting bilateral economic engagement and inviting more investment for India's transformation.
The two leaders held the fourth India-Germany Intergovernmental Consultations (IGC) plenary meeting. After the meeting , PM Modi has left for Spain — the second country in his four-nation tour.
