As Himachal Pradesh gets ready to vote in the assembly elections on 9 November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed three rallies in the state in Una, Palampur and Kullu on Sunday, 5 November.
Modi accused the Congress of being synonymous with corruption, saying, "Congress and corruption can never be separated from each other."
He remarked that the election in the state would be a "one-sided contest".
“Congress has the habit of spending leisure time in power. But BJP is a party with a difference...Congress leaders look to loot as much as they can when they come to power. But the people of Himachal will decide how to punish them.”PM Modi
Referring to former PM Rajiv Gandhi’s remark that Re 1 is reduced to 15 paise by the time it reaches the grassroots, Modi said that Gandhi was the sort of doctor who diagnosed the ailment – corruption – but offered no cure.
Modi went on to say that under his governance, it has been ensured that the entire Re 1 reaches the hands of the poor.
