Rahul Gandi had several burning questions to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the No-Confidence motion in the Lok Sabha on 20 July. As Prime Minister Modi took the mic, he made sure that he had answered every single one of Rahul’s questions by the time he was done with his 1.5 hour speech marathon.

Modi alleged that the no-confidence motion had “exposed” the “negative politics” of the Opposition. Lashing out at the ‘united opposition’, Modi further said that the floor test was not for the government, but was the Opposition’s trial run to test their strength under the pretence of a no-confidence motion.

He answered questions about Doklam, Rafale Jet issue, Rahul calling him a ‘Bhagidaar’ and more.

On Doklam

The prime minister sat on a swing with the President of China on a riverbank in Gujarat. Simultaneously, 1,000 Chinese soldiers were in Indian territory. The Chinese president left and assigned his soldiers to Doklam. Our soldiers proved their strength and stood against China. A few days after that, the prime minister goes to China. In Xian, he declares to the world that the dialogue will be without any agenda. ‘We shall not talk about Doklam’.
Rahul Gandhi, Congress President
One of the leaders spoke about Doklam. The same leader, who believed the Chinese Ambassador over our forces. Where have we reached? Everything does not merit a childish conduct
Narendra Modi, Prime Minister

On the Rafale Jet Issue

I don’t know who he talked to, but our prime minister went to France. The whole nation knows who he went with. Magically, the prices of jets increased to Rs 1,600 crore per jet.
Rahul Gandhi, Congress President
Just because of one careless allegation in the House on Rafale, both the nations had to release statements. We should not indulge in such childish behaviour.
Narendra Modi, Prime Minister
