Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday, 4 July, tabled the Economic Survey for FY20 in the Rajya Sabha, projecting a growth rate of 7 percent.

2. RSS Defamation Case: Rahul Gandhi Pleads Not Guilty
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, on Thursday 4 July, plead not guilty in a defamation case filed by an RSS worker against him for allegedly linking journalist Gauri Lankesh's murder with the right-wing organisation.
He was released on a Rs 15,000 surety amount by the Mazgaon Metropolitan Magistrate court.

3. Modi Govt Evades 22 Questions on Crime Stats, Gives Old NCRB Data
The Modi government has evaded questions on recent crime data 22 times in the ongoing Parliament session without providing any reason for the lack of information, The Quint’s analysis of responses to questions in the Lok Sabha shows.
The Central government’s responses clarify that the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) has not published statistics on crimes committed in India for the years 2017 to 2019, and that it has also failed to publish any information on accidental deaths, suicides and prison deaths for the years 2016 to 2019.

4. Review: ‘Spiderman- Far From Home’ Is The Closure Needed After Endgame
E.D.I.T.H - Even Dead , I am The Hero - and it stands true when Tony Stark says it. Peter Parker and all of us must get used to living in a world without our favourite Avenger.
We need closure, some more time to mourn, and the movie Spiderman - far From Home, gives us just that. It might not be a worthy successor to Avengers Endgame in its scale and positioning, but it is nevertheless a hugely enjoyable stop we needed to wallow in our loss and reminisce about Tony Stark a little more.
