Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday, 11 February, trained guns at PM Modi over the Rafale deal at Priyanka Gandhi’s maiden roadshow in Lucknow with the slogan “Chowkidar chor hai”.
Newly-appointed Congress General Secretary in-charge of eastern Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi kicked off the party's mega roadshow in Lucknow on Monday with her brother Rahul Gandhi.
The approximately 20-km long roadshow started from the Amausi airport and culminated at the Nehru Bhawan office of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee.

2. PM & NDA Govt Dividing Country, Building Hate Campaign: Naidu
N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday, 11 February, began his day-long hunger strike in New Delhi to demand special status for Andhra Pradesh and fulfilment of commitments made by the Centre under the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.
“Today, we came here all the way to protest against the Central government. Yesterday, PM visited Andhra Pradesh, Guntur, one day before the dharna. What is the need, I am asking,” the chief minister said while protesting at the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan on Monday.

In an interview with The Quint, veteran actor-director Amol Palekar talks about the recent incident in which he was forced to cut short his speech at a National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) event in Mumbai for being critical of the Ministry of Culture.
A video purportedly showed Palekar criticising the ministry at the opening of an exhibition in memory of artist Prabhakar Barwe, for reportedly scrapping the NGMA advisory panels. While his speech remained incomplete due to interruptions, the full text has been circulating on social media for the last two days.

4. Modi Govt Waived Anti-Corruption Clauses in Rafale Deal: Report
Yet another revelation in the Rafale deal came to the fore on Monday, 11 February, after a report said that the Centre had waived crucial provisions for anti-corruption penalties just days ahead of signing the inter-governmental agreement (IGA) with France.
A report by The Hindu said that as a result of the high-level political intervention, the standard Defence Procurement Procedure (DPP) clauses on “Penalty for use of Undue Influence, Agents/Agency Commission, and Access to Company accounts” of Dassault Aviation and MBDA France were dropped by the Indian government.

The 61st annual Grammy Awards were presented on Sunday, 10 February, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Lady Gaga picked up three awards including Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Duo Performance.
“This Is America” by Childish Gambino won Song of the Year as well as Record of the Year.
