A doll that recites verses from the Quran, complete with a Hijab, has been launched in Dubai. The doll goes by the name Jenna, Arabic for 'paradise' or 'heaven'.
The doll's creator, Samira Amesrouh, found a gap in the market after she was unable to find a doll for her seven-year-old daughter that was both modest and educational.
Amesrouh designed the doll herself and travelled to China to have it manufactured, and after four years in the making was able to finally launch it in Dubai this year.
The doll is now available in Gulf states Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
